Fibreglass resins formulated for roofing work have more elasticity than general-purpose resins, which are used on boats and pond liners. There are a variety of roof resins available on the market today. Skyline Roofing Company always work to the manufacturer's guidelines:
- The system has to be laid on new timber decking boards.
- The board joints have to be strengthened with 4-inch chop strand matting, which is adhered with roof resin.
- Performed trims are then secured into place.
- A ventilation system is then installed to allow the roof to breathe.
- Chop strand matting is adhered to the decking boards with resin.
- The topcoat is then applied.
The top coat is available in a range of colours. The colours can simulate lead or copper roof coverings. Fibreglass wet laid systems come with a twenty-year guarantee.
